I, on the other hand, am completely grumpy about this. Exclusive promos are, to me, very consumer unfriendly, and they create a situation where I have fewer choices if I want to get those promos. I don't like the practice, and with the massive variety of games currently available, I'll play/purchase something else JUST BECAUSE I don't like the practices of the company selling it.
Yes, I'll probably miss out on a great game. But I'm going to miss out on a different great game if I purchase this instead of what I purchase instead of this. I'm letting GF9 know that they won't get my money if they continue this practice. That's not a threat - it's valuable marketing information.
I completely agree with you Matt.
I already bought Hoplomachus through Kickstarter. However, this game sounded different enough to make me interested. But with this type of marketing, I'll look elsewhere for other games.
